Thats it! just got my 2nd replacement N80 from nokia and u know what i aint even gonna power it up!

I remember Nokia phones being world class! Ive had a few so i can make judgement but the N80 just takes the PI**. I want a phone that works, does everything it claims to without hours of figuring it out, I mean who buys a 400 phone then takes it home and has to update the firmware in the hope of curing half the phones faults, just to get buy in the hope that the next firmware update will cure a couple more????? No thanks not for me

Got myself a K800i great camera 3.2mp loads of features the N80 dont have! I aint fussed it aint got WIFI i got me laptop for the internet its little things i notice like auto resize of pictures for MMS and they aint tiny, aninmations in texts lol, SMS counter 1gb memory card and guess what.....It doesnt keep dissapearing! and get this. I charged it 3 days ago ive used it for toothing, transfered loads of tunes of my lappy to it, loads of texts, calls, pics, and playing about trying to get used to it and its still got half its battery life!

:icon4: wise up guys, get rid there scrap!

I am thinking of getting a second phone, the sony you have got, how good it the camera with night shots, maybe you can post a picture here ???.

I will keep my N80 because it does actually work quite well apart from battery and camera, I actually do use the wifi several times in the day because I need to keep in contact by email and browse the internet quite often when I am out, I am lucky that where I live there are many free hotspots.

a second phone would also effectively increase the battery life on the N80 because it will be switched off most of the time, except in the day.

Took some pics of the wife last nite in a dark room, they came out pretty good but i aint postin em lol

400 phone to use in the day, u could get a half decent WIFI laptop for that!

I have a decent laptop, but dont want to be carrying it about with me all day..the N80 is perfect for what I need 😊..

P.S you can always email me photo's of your wife 😉....haha

I did it the other way round, got rid of my k800 for a n80, and ive no regrets yet.
The k800 is just a bigger k750 (which i had before), only the k800 is so ugly from the front, you have to put it face down. Its camera is better than n80 tho, by quite a long (cyber) shot. 😃

Elton: I did the same. Got the N80 as a free upgrade, then got the wife a K800 as a free upgrade and tested bith. Kept the N80, flogged the k800.

As Cash says the n80 is a great phone other than the battery and I now turn the phone off at about 9pm and on again at 7am when I leave for work. Noone phones through the night anyway. They could use the landline if they really needed to get me. This almost doubles my battery life.

The camera on the k800 was far better, but the screen quality was rubbish, no wifi, music player not as good.

Will now keep the N80 for the 12 months til the n83?? appears.

A friend had donne the same. Well, competition is always good for the consumers. I gonna see a "normal" phone behavior against a "smatphone" behavior.😉

to be fair it seems as if the n80 wasnt for you in the first place

I don't think that's being fair, at all. Anyone who gets a new (and expensive!) phone should expect it to work in most situations, without being a symbian forum geek (like me) in order to dodge bugs and quality issues. Not to speak of dealing with the frustration when your work/school/private tool breaks down and has to be sent away, sometimes for weeks. There just are no excuses for expensive bad quality products, imho.

Just like many here, I got a replacement N80 today (first one just died) and it won't even boot up. The few weeks I've actually used a working N80, I loved it despite all bugs and crap, but now I just want to move on.

I know I should probably go SonyEricsson (like some of you traitors here! 😉 ) but I think I'll give the N93 an honest chance first.

For what is possible to read in foruns, You gonna change a problem for other even more big. N93 seems erratic!
