Hummmpppffff <<< holding my breath , hopefully it will be released soon enough or else I'll be considering SE P990 for a change...

It seems external links in web browser works now, and improved stability too i.e. no hangs/restart, etc. I found out that the Contant settings with name order is also sorted out.

You have the new FW already?

Google on that topic.

My version firmware is 1.0610.04.04 - Is there any versions between the .618 mentioned above that's not out yet and the one I have? I'd love to try an upgrade and see if it fixes some of the problems I've been having.

TIA

Can't wait for that update, hope nokia really worked out the VOIP bugs and allows vpn connections without certificate...

mgoodson45, how come you have 2.0618.06.05 ? Where did you get it ? Any chance you could share it ?
there is such a huge step between 1.0610.04.04 and 2.0618.06.05, probably MANY fixes are included...

VOIP works now, I tried myself and I can call some SIP numbers. Great Job Nokia!

No hangs, crashes, etc.... I like this.. Not perfect may be, but good enough for me.

new firmware should be available to everyone in near future. patience please.

Hi, how about A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile)?

Does the new firmware include that?

A lot of people waiting for that one if ever, if you have influence, perhas you can tell the Nokia firmware people about that.

not sure on A2DP, but this is a business phone.. so it may not be on priority list.

Email LED is fixed, it blinks longer (didn't count how long).

Would be nice to see
(1) removal of themes possible from themes section, and/or no themes appearing in "themes" without presence in app manager too, and
(2) no problems with apps access when they are installed on mini SD card
(3) sis installation files being cleaned up after installed.

I love my E61 - it is far above any smartphone I've used or seen in use to date. It sort of defines "connectivity" - without having to restart every 15 minutes (MS...)
And then on the other hand I love my wife, which is not to say that she is without flaws (- character traits, as we use to call them in diplomatic circles...).
Compared to my old buddies Ericsson 380, Treo 600 and p910i (not to mention the cadre of devices inbetween) it's a treat. However, what I'd like to see - and this is something that I've been looking for in all the phones, PDAs, pocket memories etc that I've had through the years - is a DECENT PIM!!!
How hard can it be? Because face it - the PIM on the E61 is close to useless. (HINT TO NOKIA: license one of the decent ones. DateBk5 on Palm. Look it up, contract the developer, license the app, include the thingy in the NEXT firmware. Or I'll create an artificial shortage of birchwood to your saunas...)

Again, as mentioned in other posts - I expect NOT to have to buy 3rd party apps in order to fill the gaps left by the Brand Mark Supplier!

/K
