Weird problem with my p910...please help if u can

Every once in a while, my P910's touch screen jams up for no reason, and stays that way for about a couple of weeks. During this time, I can SEE the screen but I can't use the stylus because the screen is UNRESPONSIVE to touch. I can use the jogdial to move from section to section, I can dial and sms by keeping the flip closed but I simply cannot use the stylus for touchscreen functions...as if the sensitivity of the screen was dead.

Then suddenly, after a couple of weeks...for no apparent reason...it suddenly works again, and I can use the touch-screen as if there was nothing ever wrong with it. And it stays this way for a few days...until it goes dead again.

I cannot provide much more information to help you diagnose the problem, but here is a piece of information (which u might find useful).
During the problem-phase, whenever I open the flip-panel a gray button flashes on the screen with the word 'Phone' on the top left of the screen every 10 seconds. What is that supposed to mean? Anybody else face this problem? If you have any leads, I would appreciate it deeply. Regards, Chokra
