Does my N80 allow me to listen to normal radio? IE BBC Radio 1?
I've looked at Visual Radio but it says "Enhancement is need to listen to radio"
Does it have an FM tuner?
Thanks
Radio?
you need plug your headphones in, as these work as the antena, you can then select to play it thru loadspeaker, this is only mono thou
And it must be the Nokia headphones, your own through the 3.5 MM adaptor don't work!

3.5mm adptor work with the FM Radio if you put head phones on it. Try using ipod headphones
ok thanks everyone.
So is that what "enhancement is required" means? THat I need to plug in the headset and then use Visual Radio?
I apologise, I would read the manual but I'm at work and havn't got it with me.
Thanks loads

It's stereo. But the radio shifts to mono when the reception is bad. Pretty cleaver actually!
Even when the reception is so-so and the radio shifts between mono and stereo often, I don't find it annoying. There's no glitch and the music goes on anyway.

Mmm, mine doesn't, it still says enhancement needed! I specifically tried it as I don't like teh Nokia headphones with that stupid string.
PS, mines a 017 firmware
the enhancement it is on about are the headphones, its uses them as an antenna
The radio should work provided you're using a Nokia Pop port accessory to connect whichever headphones you use. I use the radio every day with some non-standard headphones via the AD-41 accessory.
Wirelessly posted (NOKIA 6630: NokiaN80-1/3.0 (3.0617.0.5) Series60/3.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1)
same here i use the AD-41 and my radio works fine, u must have the headset conected to the AD-41 for it to work!
AD41 + Headphones! Like N91 - AD-36+headphones (or direct in this one...)
i have two headsets HS-23..
Whenever I listen to the radio, its always through the loud speaker, so could I just cut the cable at the bit where it connects to the phone?
Would it still work or would it not be a complete circuit?
If not, is there anything I could do to complete the circuit removing the wires? It's just I hate the trailing cables and they get tangled :icon13:
EDIT : JUst realised that would mean no antenna. So could I Cut the wire a bit further down, say at the bit with the microphone?
