please help!

what if i unlock my 6630 vodafone, does it mean i can play mp3 and download application to my phone? (cause i can't)

thanks very much.

Unlocking will only allow some other operator's SIM card to be used. To change the way Vodafone locked down app installation and MP3's, you need to have it reflashed with a generic/retail firmware version, instead.

As an alternative: Consider selling it and buying a retail ("SIM-free"😉 model (a 6630 or something else).

You can still play mp3 on your phone by buying third party mp3 player for your unit.

Furthermore, you can convert your old music in your cd to mp3 and feed this to your mp3 capable phone unit. This is legal as long as you use this for personal consumption not for business endeavor.
