Recovering contact data from broken phone

1 replies · 2,088 views · Started 09 August 2006

I've managed to drop my phone (Nokia 7610) in the bath... very clumsy!!!

No great suprise - it doesn't turn on!

I've bought a memory card reader - put my MMC in - but can't find any of the contact details from my phone book. I really really don't want to loose all this data. Has anyone got any suggestions on what i can do???

Any help would be very much appreciated

Cheers
Andy

The contacts are not saved on the MMC, but in phone memory.

Try a Nokia service center (http://www.nokia.com/service) in case they can help.

With your next phone, back up your contacts to the memory card with the "Memory" app, with the PC Suite backup option and also consider synchronizing them to a PC app such as Outlook (PC options require a Windows PC, though). If you have a Mac, try iSync with your next phone.
