Putting signatures in emails

Hullo Friends,

A query from an absolute newbie to E61 and so may sound stupid. My question is how do I put a signature to my emails in E61. I use it for the blackberry service. Earlier, I had the Blackberry 7730 and that instrument had an oblique way of putting a signature where you had to use the abbreviations. Thus, for me, the abbreviation "sg" that I created would give my name, designation, tel. nos., etc. that serviced as my standard signature.

It is a pain even writing my name in every email now!

Could someone help please? Thanks

Jayant

You can set the signature in the settings of the Messaging Application on an account by account basis. See Messaging -> Settings -> Your acount -> Email options (or similar or User settings)

Yes this will only work if you are using the native Messaging application. Its not necessairly obvious in the settings and I can't remember the eaxct set up.

Hi there,

Thanks for the info and sorry for delayed reply. I am from India and use the blackberry connect service from India. The suggested sequence of steps do not work since the options do not come in the manner you suggested in my E61 perhaps because the Airtel software does not provide for this. Still, if you have any better idea, do let me know. Having used the 7730, where signature insertion was very easy, now, I feel lazy to even type in my full name!!!

On your E61 - press the mail button -

select the mail account you wish to add a signature to with the joystick.

OPTIONS >>>>> E-MAIL SETTINGS >>>> USER SETTINGS >>>> INCLUDE SIGNATURE >>> SET TO YES >>>> then write your signature.

Dear all,

Is it possible to enter an elaborate signature that consists of multiple lines, containing for example, a company's disclaimer?

I use the E72 in combination with Mail for Exchange.

Thanks in advance for your answer
