E61 Bluetooth Issues

I have a Bluespoon AX2 bluetooth headset and I am having some major issues with compatibility on the E61.

First, every single call the E61 turns down the volume for the call to minium, this happens every time and it takes no less than 8 button presses to get to a hearable level, I have to do this everytime I answer the phone, what a pain in the ass. I have to answer the call "hold on, I cant hear you" press, press, press, press, press ,press, press, ok now I can hear you.

Also, the range on the E61 seems to suck bad, I have used the AX2 headset with 3 other phones and it was totally clear and crisp sounding, with the E61 its crackly and static all the time unless I hold the E61 next to my head at about 6-12 inches.

anyone else notice these problems? Is this Nokia's way of telling me to go get a Nokia Branded headset?

Thanks
G

I think this problem exists for certain BT headsets regardless of the brand. I use a Nokia HS-36W BT headset and get the same volume re-set problem. I agree it is irritating. If you plan to change another headset, the best way is still to test the E61 with it to ensure that there is no such issue.

Or maybe the new firmware (when made available to the public) will take care of this.

Same here - tried several BT headsets with the E61. What I've noted is that it works well in some environments - e.g. while outdoor (no statics, no distortion). And it performs badly while there are some interferencies - e.g. at home where I can see at least 5 different (foreign) WLANs nearby.
I do own two other mobiles (SE and Motorola), which have no problem establishing a clear connection even at home.
So this seems to be clearly related to the E61

Have you ever tried to walk around while talking over the BT headset to see if statics an distortion will become less (or even more)? Have you tried this outdoors?

Cheers,
Michael

BTW - this also happens suing the Nokia BH-900 headset, which is listed as a E61 accessory by Nokia!

Does anyone know which Bluetooth headsets work well with the E61? I had a Motorola H-500 and it would crackle if I had the phone in my pocket. Very annoying, looking for replacement.

I use a Jabra BT500 with my E60 and it work well. I previously had a Jabra BT200 but it would not pair with the E60.
