this phone may not be gods gift of mobile technology, but its damn close to being it. all phones have their flaws!
the camera is gr8 and the editing features are superb. i was suprised to see them on a phone. the main problem is in dark lighting conditions but apart from tht A*
i admit the slider isnt gr8 but this isnt a major problem and can b easily overcum with a little brainwork!
also the wifi web browers is a joy! and simple to set-up once u know what ya doin!
all in all this phone has its flaws but the positives outway the negatives massivley here!

Hi rouseinthehouse
Welcome to the forum, and thanks for input,
I dont think too many people here are really ginving the N80 a bad time, we all know its got great features and has great potential, I myself and several other members here have said that we are happy with the N80, apart from a few problems with it, mostly what you have mentioned yourself.
The gripe with the battery is that Nokia have designed a power hungry smartphone, and the people who are going to use it and fork out alot of money for it are going to want to use its functions quite often, with this in mind Nokia should have released the phone with a battery with a bigger capacity that is suitable for the phone to be used with reasonable smartphone usage, and still have a reasonably good standby time, many times my phone as died in the evening, Nokia have several batteries that are more powerfull and not that much bigger and I think could have designed the phone with those batteries in mind, albeit the phone would probably be a little bigger.
For a 3 megapixel camera I wouldnt say its great in daylight, but its acceptable, but the big problem comes at night, indoors or in low light when the camera, and video recording is quite basically unusable, I tried taking photo's and video last night in a bar of my friends birthday and all images are basically rubbish, but the images taken in the day are acceptable.
For me the slider is ok...I can live with it, but a better latching system would I admit be better.
I dont have any problems with wifi, and the web browser is great, just wish it would remember usernames, but maybe this will be done in the next firmware.
I think the problem is that everybody has different problems with the phone so it can look quite bad, but overall I agree with you that the phone is a great little phone.
