Nokia 3230 - "Themes" won't open!

How it happens? When? After some installation?

I was just trying to open the "Themes" tool, but it won't open. It keeps rediverting to the menu screen.

Since I bought my phone, the only thing i've installed were some games and that was awhile ago. Even after installing the games, the "Themes" tool had worked before.

Try a soft format: *#7370# (Backup all first)

will data on my memory card be lost? Or just data stored on my phone memory?

In case of format, either hard or soft, the only thing you loose is 5 minutes and
the data stored on your phone. Backup is allways advised, mostly before
installing anything for the case that something goes wrong. If you have the
themes on your MMC, try to delete C:\System\Skins folder, maybe one of
the ini files is corrupted.

i don't know if it's just me but when i connected my phone via bluetooth, i don't see "skins"under C:\System

Maybe it's just my phone...

The phone is OK, you can't see the System folder with Nokia PC Suite. I was talking about FExplorer from www.gosymbian.com which is an app for your phone. It's freeware and is the best you can find, even the commercial ones don't handle the files so good like this one, plus you have some extra features. Try it.

i tried this out, but the msg i got back from the phone was "reguest not completed"

are there any other format methods?

Whatta hell man? The format doesn't work?? Try *#7780# (restore factory
settings). You'll be asked for security code like in soft format command. If
this doesn't work you have one option left: hard format. Press simultaneously
Green+3+*+power on. DO NOT RELEASE ANY BUTTON UNTIL "FORMATING" IS
DISPALYED!

unfor, my phone is still not working. I think my phone is hopeless.

with the soft format, i keep getting the "request not completed" message and because i'm not that good with phones, i don't know how to do a hard format.

Well, if your phone is still in warranty, take it to a Nokia service center. Maybe
they will help you with a reflash / new firmware.
