Need a bit of help with a decision. My SX1 has bitten the dust for the 5th time, and insurance co has deemed it uneconomical to repair.
They have offered me an n70 as a replacement. The n70 doesn't really hold much appeal to me - it's bland looking and seems like a middle of the road sorta phone.
I have to let them know tomorrow if I'm going to accept the offer. I would really like to push for an n91 or an n80, but need a way of justifying asking for such.
I've primarily used my SX1 for:
Music playback
PC remote control
eBook reader
radio
Internet browsing
Are there any issues with any of these on the n70? Is the n70 stereo sound from the builtin mp3 player?
As mentioned I'd prefer an 91 or 80, but can't think of anything the sx1 does that the n70 wouldn't handle to be able to justify asking for an n80 instead. I really really wanted the high definition screen of the n80.
I may opt to see what they would payout instead of the phone offer. If they would give me the retail price of an n70 (unlikely?) I can get a direct imported n80 for almost the same as the retail for an n70. I may also ask what it would cost me if I offered to pay extra and be upgraded to n80.
Advice/suggestions?

I have used my N70 for music, browsing and FM radio, infrequently for ebook and other file reading. For the first three functions it is excellent. It's small screen - by today's standards - makes reading just good for short reading, but not for hours. I did not try remote control, but should not be a problem.
I still have it as a backup phone besides my xm5800. I had a motherboard problem with N70, I had to get it replaced by a used one, and now it works again perfectly. I dunno about pricing of it and the alternatives at your place.
