Picture taken with Navibutton - 6 second delay, back to camera mode
Picture taken with side button in landscape - 12 second delay with "Saving image" stripey progress bar then back to camera mode.
Twice as long.
Is everyone else's the same?
Any reason for this?

Same to me. Before this beauty I had a 3230 which made the capture after
around 8 seconds, now that was a lag. On the N70 the lag is bigger if you
make the photo by pressing the side button because the image is edited
(rotated). Make a test: take the same picture by pressing the Navi and the
side key. Download the pictures in a PC and see the difference.
More or less the same to me. But an N70 is not an Canon top of the range.

I see now - never realised the rotation happened then.
