Why some themes that i have installed just disappeared after i turned off the phone?

Could anybody tell me why and some solutions?

I talked to customer care centre. The reality is while the N91 is charging, battery cover is removed the HDD is "un mounted ?". Symbian then does not look for the theme/wallpaper again. Advice save theme you want to phone memory

So another HDD limitation! I go change that N91...

Hi actually its a symbian limitation

Themes/Wallpaper: I have the scoop on this from the technical board. The reality is that the way symbian and S60 handle "removable memory" is the reason behind people losing their themes and it going back to default. The thing is that during charging (for N91), or USB mass storage or if you remove the battery cover while power is on the HDD is "de mounted, un-mounted?..(not sure). Its like popping out an MMC. If you had a theme or wallpaper on the HDD as your active one the phone O/S doesnt look for it if the HDD has been dismounted. The only solution

a) Accept the fact that this is the way it is and simply re-select it after any of tehse scenarios

b) Put the theme of wallpaper in the phones ROM memory.

I tried it . To me now that I knwo the cause its no big deal its when something appears "weird" that you get uneasy

Hi music101,

So when we are in themes, we should "create" a new theme from there? Because it has been happening to me also.

I still love my N91!
