Is there a way of recovering contacts after they have been deleted because of a sync problem?
The story is that I alway backup my contacts on my mac, but when i dit a security upgrade something went wrong.. So my Apple addres book got resetted. Now i can not find my contacts anymore on the mac so I hope that there is some sort af an undo button on my E61.
Many Thanks.

I am not familiar with the Mac side, but you could restore your phone backup from the memory card. That should restore everything to the state it had at the point of backup.
Problem is, that most of us take a backup soon after receiving and configuring the phone and then forget to update it..

I never did a backup of my phone but was hoping that like in windows everythig gets sent to a trash can and thus enabling me to restore it from there. But I am getting that if I didn;t make a backup on my phone and everything is gone from my laptop .. all my contact are gone. Oooh well
Thanks for the help.:icon14:

There are no trash can and I doubt that file recovery utilities will work, as the file got overwritten with a smaller version, not deleted.

To answer my own qq,
Well I found some of my important contacts in the trash of my Mac 😊. They were under a folder named "Recovered files". There where a few named that way so you had "Recovered files #1", "Recovered files #2", till #6. In one of them I found my contacts again, well atleas the ones that I added over the hollidays 😊.
Hope this helps someone else aswell 😊
