Nokia 6680 Offline/insert sim card

Hi, i put my phone onto silent mode, then went to turn it back to normal and it kept saying offline and insert sim card. It done this even after off/on. Please help . . . . .anyone

U can try setting it in the profile menu. U need to set it online, or just format the fon if it doesnt work. Thats the best way, cos it shouldnt work like that

Agree! Could be damaged.

There is another thing which can cause this trouble. Maybe your SIM/phone has the contacts dirty and the SIM is not recognized, Try to clean them.

i tried to change it on the profile menu - no joy with that or with another 3 sim card. How do you format the phone please?

Reset phone: *#7780#;
Soft format: *#7370#;
Hard format: same time Green Key+*+3 and power off.
