The P990i is published as supporting RIM Balckberry - but I could not get clear answers as to how exactly it is done- and could not find anything on SE's materials!
- Do you know of any source of information so I can make sure it does work?
- Does it need any modifications on the Blackberry Enterprise Server? If so - what exactly?
- Does it need any modules to install on the P990i itself? If so - where can I get them?
- What are the exact parameters for configuring the device to work with Balckberry Enterprise Server?
- Any info about a user's guide as to how to use the P990 as a Blakberry terminal (e.g the emulation for the different keybord keys, etc) ?
Thanks for any help,
There is another revision of the BB Connect software in the works for the latest P990 firmware. In the meantime you can use Blackberry if you have R4xxxxx or earlier firmware version on your phone.
I can confirm that BES does work concurrently with BIS on P990 (Firmware R7A....) using latest BB Connect Software v3.37. I am also able to surf the net using my Home WiFi network while these services are running. This is great news because we have never been able to perform all three tasks (BES + BIS + NET) simultaneously with BB Connect + any Pxx series. I will be drafting another BB CONNECT DUMMY GUIDE with illustrations for these services hopefully before the end of the week. If anyone else has already taken efforts to do this or have suggestions to improve over the last one please provide feedback.
