Shozu, the multimedia upload tool for smartphones, now supports sending videos directly to YouTube, the video sharing service, from your phone. YouTube is now an optioanl destination for your video uploads. Shozu's advantages is that you can upload a multimedia item just once, but send it to multiple destinations.

Why is it that some news can be commented while other can't? The carnival news for example can not be commented (not that i want to add a comment but i'm curious).

From the admin system it is possible to specify which news item get comments and which do not. Some of them don't get comment threads because they don't need them. The carnival thread is a good example. It is better to go and comment on the stories on the carnival rather than on AAS. Normally the only stories that don't get comments threads are ones that are purely link based. We do forget to put comment threads on ocasionally.

At least this was my thinking when I designed the system. It is due for an upgrade, but I need to find the time to do it!

I tried uploading my videos from N93 to YouTube with ShoZu, but I got an error message of 4 MB maximum file size. Is this normal or am I just a stupid user?

Hi ebo

You're not a stupid user. ShoZu currently has a 4 MB upload limit. We're being a bit conservative to protect our servers and conserve bandwidth, and will probably relax this gradually. In principle there's no limit to the file size, and we have used a 10 MB limit for some promotional events.

Apologies for any inconvenience.

Andy Tiller (CTO ShoZu)

Actually the limit now is 10 MB, but that still makes the software unuseful for the new phones.

I have an N82 and cannot use Shozu for uploading 😞
