Hi there,

I've got an old firmware 6630 and recently I've donwload Raccoon to have a try, but I need these three Dll in order to make it works:

z:\system\libs\xmlframework.dll
z:\system\libs\plugins\xmlparserplugin.dll
z:\system\libs\plugins\101faa0a.rsc

If you have a recent version of N6630 (any 2nd Edition FP2 would be ok) or recently flashed a new firmware contact me or send them to this forum.

Thanks

They won't help you, as they're executables compiled to be executed from ROM (in other words, they won't run from the C-drive or a memory card, and you can'y update them in ROM/the Z-drive).

A Nokia service center can update the firmware: http://www.nokia.com/repair

Also, do not post the same question multiple times.

I just quote the "Readme.txt" included in the Raccoon archive:

"NOTE: If you have a version of 6630 whose flash version is quite
old, then you _may_ need to update the phone's software first.

Install (check further down) Raccoon and start it; if it starts,
then all is well. If it doesn't, then check whether your phone
contains the files

z:\system\libs\xmlframework.dll
z:\system\libs\plugins\xmlparserplugin.dll
z:\system\libs\plugins\101faa0a.rsc

If it doesn't have those files, then you need to update the
flash version of your phone's software. Check where you bought
the phone or with your operator how to do that.

Alternatively, copy those files from a friend's newer (but still
S60 2nd Edition FP2/FP3 based) phone to the C-drive of your phone.
That is, you'll then have:

c:\system\libs\xmlframework.dll
c:\system\libs\plugins\xmlparserplugin.dll
c:\system\libs\plugins\101faa0a.rsc

That will also do the trick. "

I didn't post it multiple times. I posted it to three different forum. This one, and two developers' ones.

Posting it on three different forums counts as multiple times, I'd say; three is more than once, according to the math I learned.

Given that the posts of mine were sent separately, Wikipedia definition of Cross-post points out:

"Cross-posting is the act of submitting an article to more than one newsgroup or mailing list. This is done to get broader coverage of an issue.
Cross-posting is often frowned upon, but if the groups to whom the post is submitted are all appropriate to the subject matter, objections are generally minimal.

I wasn't able to found any policy over the issue on AAS forum. Furthermore I don't see you in any group representing Administrators/Moderators/Super Moderators thus I'll take your remark as a kindly advice.

P.S.: Gricean maxims may help.
