Problems with exchange activesync — Sony Ericsson M600i

I'm having 2 problems with exchange activesync:

1) I close the program, close mail and yet it starts up again, meaning my mail is being collected all through the night, when I don't need it

2) When the program is running it seems that the alarms don't work, which, coupled with number 1 means I have twice overslept before I worked this out!

Am I right or have I missed anything?

BTW, may I know how do you sync then?

My case even worst, I can't activate the activesync at all whereby it always claim that my server name is wrong and timed out!!!

What is the setting for you to perform the activesync?

Re. 1) I looks like you have "Push" enabled (e.g. "real-time sync"😉. You have to change this to manual or scheduled interval!!
From within ActiveSync select "More" \ "Settings" \ "Sched" => Uncheck "Enable Push" and instead use either "Sync Every: Manual" or at interval at your own preference.
