Weird bug with SlovoEd affecting the entire system

Hi,

I have found an astonishing bug which causes SlovoEd (a pretty decent dictionnary application) to make the entire system and all the installed applications to behave improperly on my E61. Have a look at the first screenshot below. It's the Gallery application as it should look like.

If i now launch SlovoEd, send it to the background and launch gallery again, it appears as in screenshot 2. As you can see, the list boxes and menu are all fucked up. The first caracter is not displayed anymore and so are the spaces and digits; in addition the text appears in normal font instead of bold. This doesn't affect only the gallery application but pretty much every application on the phone, both built-in Nokia ones and third party ones (native and java applications). It took me one month to track this problem down to SlovoEd. If i close SlovoEd then launch Gallery again, it all works fine again.

I will send a bug report to the guys at SlovoEd but in the meantime, if you encounter this problem, you know where to look for.

Aha, SlovoEd caused this issue. I was not able to isolate this problem because it only seem to occur only every once and a while.

Well done Elp.

I've contacted the technical support at SlovoEd and they sent me a fixed version of their software. The bug seems to have gone now. I do not know whether the version you can download from their web site is the proper one or not but at least you know that you can contact them to have the bug-free one.
