Good day Guys and Gals, can someone help me
I have recently got hold off a second hand Nokia 6630.
Everything seems okay with it appart from a error message which keeps coming up (say 2 or 3 times a week).
The message goes along the lines of " Not enough memory to receive SMS, try deleting some data" or something like that.
Thing is when looking at the memory status using PC Suite i can see that only half the 512M MMC memory is being used and only 2M of the phone 9M memory is used.
I only have 10 messages in my inbox / sent items, (none of which are Media messges, they are all just plain text).
Anyone out there got any ideas????
Cheers for your time
Dave
Select the MMC Card to receive the messages.
Hmmmmmm, i thought that might have fixed it but it still comes up with the error message. Any one else got any ideas as this is bugging me
Cheers
I have also tried updating the software via the nokia service centre point but this didn't work either????
For update tutorial, see Rafe page here: http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/features/item/Updating_your_Nokias_firmware_at_hom.php
About the memory: do You have a lot of open apllication running on background?
No nothing running, have held the memory button down to check but only the phone icon is there!
Have seen a post on another site which pointed me to something
goto Messaging > SIM Messages I have deleted these messages as they don't appear in the normal inbox (Not sure why), Since i have done it this it hasn't come back with the error message. Will keep you informed
Use TaskSpy app to check what is the process running in the background. Holding the menu key, u wont see it. After use TaskSpy, try to kill unnecessary process.
Try to empty ur C: drive
From where can you get Task Spy? how can you download it and install on your phone (i have a 6681)?
How can i empty my C Drive (novice phone user)?
Use the search feature.
Here, I found it, TaskSpy, search through Google: TaskSpy or the official web site of TaskSpy
Transfer the .SIS file into ur phone then run it. Use BT, card reader or Nokia PC Suite to transfer it. Nokia PC Suite capable to install it. U'll have to use the data cable that comes with ur phone.
