Hi, i have read that some people have lost a couple of programmes since upgrading to the new v4 firmware for N80, ie Anti-virus, PDF Programme and Kodak, is this true and if so can anybody give me an exact link to theese programmes as have tried searching for them within the software for n80 on here but with no luck, Any help please to the above and thankyou from
Brian
AntiVirus can be found on the phone software downloads for N80 on Nokia's support site.
Adobe PDF can be found under phone software downloads for one of the E series (E61 I think) on Nokia's support site.
Kodak? meh.. no idea. Maybe on the original miniSD card supplied with the N80? or perhaps on the supplied CD?
My understanding is that you the apps are installed if you flash having selected a Product Code. I didn't bother myself as I didn't need the PDF reader or the antivirus, and my Kodak app didn't get wiped anyways (not that I use it 😃)

Hi, glad it was you, ive been reading all your posts etc on the new firmware n80 and brilliant reading, thanx for that and will download them later, and yes im pretty sure the Kodak is on the supplied dvd, i will check that out later, i now have all the required software downloaded are you pleased with the new firmware and do you have the latest uk generic v4 etc ?
Thankyou again from Brian
The kodak aplication is also on Kodak site.😊
Will go and look for the Kodak software, and did you lose it after the firmware upgrade?
Thankyou from brian
Which firmware pack did you install, I used Euro 1 Pearl Black, this included Kodak, Mobile Search, Antivirus (which I then deleted) and PDF, Euro 2 also should include these

Thanx from Brian
hi Brian --
I've replied re the drivers against your other post but for completeness:
If you're using the BB Reaper guide it contains the Connectivity drivers for the N80.
When I flashed mine I uninstalled all Nokia related software and drivers from my laptop, rebooted then followed the Reaper guide step by step through. If those drivers don't work then you could try substituting the connectivity drivers from the CD for those mentioned in the Reaper guide.
I used the V01 British / UK English files contained in the firmware package.
Yes I'm happy with it - just trying to decide on some GPS software now so I can flog my TomTom on eBay..

When your PC attempts to install the drivers, select custom install and change the path to C:\Program Files\nokia\Connectivity Cable Driver\
This worked for me
Dez's advice (from the other thread) might be easier to follow 😃
Good luck!
When i installed v4. I just used the files manually this didnt delete anythink.
But then i reinstalled with the package option and it deleted eveything
