Hi, im on the final stage of flashing the phone, but, but !! when i get to page 3 on the NOKIA BB5 FLASHING GUIDE, And it then says choose the .FPSX file for the image file, my p-c cant find it, even if i type in the file box !! can you tell me where this is, or where i can get this one, also looks like i havnt got the .V0 FILE for the PPM FILE IE, V.0E is western english.

P-S If helps the Phoenix has found N80 ok but not the files above !!

what firmware file do u have? is it in .exe format? if yes then double click on it and the exe file will unpack the FW into C/....PHOENIX, then at the top of phoenix app theres a white bar, hit the arrow next to it and then if ur in UK scroll down the list and pic EURO 1 thats it, it will select the flash files its self, then hit start!

Also which euro 1 is it pearl black or smooth stainless ? whats the diference between the 2 ? again thankyou, wow cant believe im almost done, this site is great..

Hi have selected euro 1 pearl black, that didnt work, and the other euro 1 smooth stainless, but every time i click on start , im getting an error mesage from windows saying Windows has encountered a problem with Phoenix and needs to close, send error report or not, i chose not to send error report, and the application just closes !!! Now im stuck and dont no what to do..

did u install up2date phoenix? reboot pc and try again, if u have silver n80 then select EURO 1 STAINLESS!
Hi, yes ive installed the latest phoenix and will try what you have suggested and try the smoothe euro 1 ,
will let you no how i get on and thankyou again for your help, if it gets to saturday and im still having problems then will probrably take the N80 to my nearest nokia service center, but 21 miles away, cant believe how close i am to upgrading the firmware,

Hi, thankyou for that, yes ive now chosen the smoothe/pearl black and now when i press start within phoenix, im getting the following message---
" In order to flash the PPM file successfully the version of the flash update package installed in the programme must be at least 06.02.002 ,unable to determin the flash update package version in the programmer version, do you want to continue? yes or no "
P-S My phoenix software is 2006.12.5.136 And that was the one i downloaded from BB5 Reaper etc...
Hope you can help and a little wary to press the continue button untill i get a response to this, amny thanx and hope to hear soon.

I had the same error but went for it, pressed continue and it flashed happily upto version4.
Had it crash for the first time on me last night when attemtping to read a text message from standby.
Hi all, well ive managed to do it ok now, all that worrying payed of !!! Amso pleased with the new firmware , oh and now i dont have to do that 21 mile trip !!

Now guna search for that navicore sat nav everybodys on about for symbian series 3rd edition, well that will do untill tomtom release one for our phone N80.

You can purchase Navicore online and receive it as a download. Not seen it elsewhere.

well done pal, had faith in u all along, not so hard is it, just makes u nervous a bit!
Biggzy I read one of your help files, downloaded every single file, and installed 100% according to the steps. But, once I reboot computer, and overwrite the nokia files with the crack in the Phoenix folder, then Phoenix crashes when trying to open everytime. Help =(
