Thanks... now phoenix_service_sw_2004_39_7_70.exe won't work? It downloaded fine but when i double click it just does nothing....

any chance of another link to this app so i can see if it just my copy of the install file, rather than my machine.

also any chance of a down load link to: phoenix_service_sw_2006_12_5_136.exe ... please, that download doesn't seem to work either...

this is all u need, u dnt need phoenix 2004 with this, also u dnt have 2 uninstal to use again, just keep it on pc, u mite need reaper to walk u thru the instalation!

the instal of the upto date phoenix is a bit dif to the walkthru on dogtoe, reaper is a walkthru guide for flahing, it instals on pc

im going to b working on a walkthru guide in a text format (no pics) as reaper is not very clear about instaling the files!

ok the best thig to do is instal reaper and use it to guide u thru the setup, or read this: instal DIAGO, then instal the NOKIA CABLE DRIVER, now open the dongle ready and instal phoenix (click on part 1 and it instals all parts) then wen it gets to the part about the dongle crack hit retry then quickly hit install on the dongle crack and then YES TO ALL, u must do this fast as it wnt instal otherwise. if it asks about a DESkey just continue the instal, then restart pc. next open the PHOENIX CRACK and copy the 2 files and paste them into C/PROGRAM FILES/NOKIA/PHOENIX, then run phoenix and enter YOUR name as user name and YOUR initials, ohoenix is now a full version and u dnt have to uninstal it to use it more times than once.

FLASHING YOUR HANDSET: exit ALL running pc apps, take mmc/sd and sim out of the phone and turn it on and use it in OFFLINE MODE, plug it into the pc with the data cable (u must select PC SUITE mode on the handset), let the pc load the cable drivers, in phoenix click on FILE then MANAGE CONNECTIONS, click NEW and then select USB then press next, phoenix will SCAN for the fone, then select next, then select FINISH. then a priority list opens, click USB, then APPLY then CLOSE. next click on FILE and choose SCAN PRODUCT, then make sure at the top of phoenix in the operating mode it shud say NORMAL in the box, if not change it. at the bottom of phoenix it shud say READY and sum info about ur fone next to it. next select flashing at the top of the phoenix app, selest SW UPDATE, then minimise phoenix and find the firmware .exe file from ur desktop and double click on it and make sure it instals to C/.........../PHOENIX, let it instal then maximise phoenix and at the top u shud see a bar with an arrow next toit, click the arrow and a dropdown will apear, if in uk selecy EURO 1 stainles or black, after its loaded the files in the boxes below (3 files) hit start, thats it just let pc do the rest.

yes 23 mb is used by the new apps that come with the new FW, do into app manager and u can remove them from ther, btw im glad i cud help

Thanks to Biggzy clear explanations, I managed to get Phoenix working.

Everything's ready but I've a last question :
When opening the SW Update, by default it selects me FRANCE Pearl Black. Ok, I'm French and my phone is pearl black, so it's normal. But should I select the Euro 1 instead ?

u did the corect thing to pick euro, it wudnt of hurt to pic the other but ur in europe so it dnt matter, glad i cud help u all, i will post my new walkthru guide wen its finished, thanx to all who have comented on my postings as its helpd me make the walkthru guide easy as pos to follow!

I downloaded the files on page 1 and followed the instructions - I had a problemin Phoenix - I didn't get the toolbar below the menus. I cleaned the system and tried again, same - then it clicked - when it reboots after installing Phoenix it registers all the .dll's - the instructions state to copy the cracked .exe & .dll AFTER the reboot, meaning the new .dll would need registering.

So if you have the no toolbar problem, after the reboot, copy the cracked files, then drop to dos and register the dll manually:

regsvr32 "c:\progra~1\nokia\phoenix\phoenix_framework.dll"

And then it works....

Biggzy would be an idea if you could update the instructions..

Hey Biggzy I followed your steps one by one and after rebooting, and copying and overwriting the files, Phoenix crashes everytime when trying to open. I uninstalled again and tried twice more, and still same result. What's going on?! 😞
