Hi,
is it possible to transfer music/video files from computer to memory card via MMC card reader?
Using the phone to transfer hundreds of megas of files takes an eternity and the some 😞

Yes. Obviously you'll need either a mini-SD card reader or an SD card reader with a mini-SD to SD adapter. Note that 2GB mini-SD cards pose problems with some card readers. The card reader built-in my Toshiba laptop recognizes the 64MB mini-SD card that came with my E61 just fine but won't read my Sandisk 2GB card.
