3230 circuit issue

A few days ago, I decided to change my original faceplate to a new generic one (which basically looks like the original). Everything went fine until I made a call with my new faceplate on.

A problem occurs when making and receiving calls. No one can hear me on their end when a call is made. At first, I thought this was a SIM issue, but it is not because I checked to see if a friends SIM would fix the problem and it doesnt. I definitely did something during the installation process.

I was gentle enough to make sure nothing fell, etc. but something did. During installation, I realized that the thin rubber piece which supports the thin slot (on the right of the power button) went missing. After failing to find it. I disregarded it assuming that is was there just for protection. Perhaps it isnt?

If is a Hardware problem, Yuou should go to a Nokia Service Point, for them take care of things. But put the original faceplat on it, first.

I live in the US - NYC so I doubt NokiaUSA will look at my phone. They'll probably direct me to the UK department and ask me to send it over there.

Probably... But if its a hardware problem, the alternative is try a repais outside NSP. The problem is the garantee, if is the case, because 3230 have some time on Market.
