New firmware for 9500 - where to get?

Hi - here is my second question: where can I get the latest Firmware for the Communikator 9500? Only in Service-Centers?

For now, are only 6 phones, or something like that. But Nokia said, with time, and to start from Setember, all line up go to same process. So, why not 9500?

So why they begun with 6630, a two years old model? 6680, 1,5 years? I think, that is for all models. Just think the money they can save on NSP... is just a good business for Nokia.

Sorry for the late post, I hope someone will read this threads still.

I bought a 9500 and want to upgrade to version 6.
I tried with the NSU to update the phone but I got an error message saying that there is not support yet for this kind of phone.
Do you have the same issue?

I got the newest version of NSU.

and improvements with the overall speed of the commy 9500 in the process? coz i read that commy 9500 is really slow compare to other, maybe they at least tweak it in the firmware update

Last Monday (15th) I went to Carphone Warehouse in Oxford Street (BIG nokia Service Centre), prepared to pay good cash to get my faithful 9500 upgraded to Ver 6.27 (previous thread refers).

Staff there told me that firmware upgrades were no longer available for the 9500 and that they would or could no longer do it! :frown:

So now making enquiries with Nokia themselves.

Thats def not true. I had my 9500 flashed to...

on the 14th by a Nokia Service Centre. They did it while I waited and for free as its under warranty.

The word - close to the city EC3A. Took 4 working days as initially phone (9500) did not want to upgrade. Very good service have used them often.

Only hassles lack of email notification and bluetooth synch is more fragile, but that may also be the latest version of pc suite.
