This isn't really a problem I'm having. Its more of a complaint. Why on earth did Nokia allow its multimedia program to "save as" an mp4 file when that format can't be used on the phone I bought (E70)? The program saves it with a H.264 codec while the phone is only able to play H.263!
Of course this is easily solved by using other apps to convert the video, but I just think Nokia didn't think this through properly. I waited a long time for the E70 and have just ended up disappointed by the many many many many many many flaws that came with it. One would think that a phone launched almost a year after it was announced would come out near perfect. In this case, even the PC app supplied with the phone doesn't do its job properly.
Maybe I missed some setting in the PC Suite app. Anyone knows what went wrong? I currently encode my videos at 176x144px, 23.98fps, 384Kbit/s wit 64Kbit/s, 22050Hz AAC using SUPER. Anyone know a better setting? I'm not sure whats the best setting. Still tinkering away...
