Hi,
Is there a way to specify a preferred operator ? I live near the borders of 3 countries (Germany, France and Luxembourg) using roaming a lot but I'd like my phone to go back to my home network (Orange France) as soon as it can detect it.
Is there a way to do that ? To somewhat hierachize networks, without having to use a roaming dedicated app' like Roam'n'Roll (which anyway isn't compatible with S60 3rd) ?
Thanks !
Change the search of network from automatic to manual, and are You who said wich network You wants.
yep, I know that, but well... It requires quite a few phone manipulation. I'd prefer something more automated.
I dont know another way:frown:
A SIM card has a list of preferred networks, which is by default set by the home network operator. Some operators allow the user to edit this list, but most do not allow that. Old phones often had a menu item to view and edit this list, and SIM card readers can do that too. But even if you would edit it, the phone will probably not return to your home network as long as it can connect to any other allowed network.
The only solution that would work, afaik, would be a special SIM card, which makes the phone always search for the home network, even when in roaming mode.
