Hello Nokia owners.
I finally got OK from my manager to buy a new phone. Comming from the QTEC-Pocket PC world I wanted a real phone, hence I'm now a Nokia e61 owner. 😊
But there is a couple of things I miss... especially a little reset button that puts the phone in its original state!!!!
When I got the phone I started playing around with it, installing all sorts of strange thing, I was confident I could just reset it and start using it. 🙄
Now, I cant find a way to reset it, I've cleaned up as best I can but the phone is slow, and getting slower all the time. :banghead:
What can I do to start from scratch?
thanks
Rob

There is no reset button but there are reset codes. See here for the soft and hard reset codes: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nokia_E61

This sounds really strange. Symbian phones usually do not get slower and slower just because you're installing "all sorts of strange thing". This is even more true with the 3rd edition devices since all the applications must now be signed and self-signed applications only have limited access to the phone's system, preventing them from doing any harm. If all you've done so far is play with your new toy and now want to start real work, i would do a reset anyway to start from a clean state but it'd be interesting to find the cause of the slowness. Does setting the logs (in the phone settings) to 1 day improve things?
"Dial" *#7370# on the standby screen, or try a full reformatting sequence:

The symbian phones, all, but one, dont have the "Reset Button". Good signal. But, it has one with that, that is... N93 (bad signal).
