A Feature I Want on My Phones

I have a 7650 and a 9210. Something I would love is an application to cut the call with static.

Kind of, you're having a conversation with the office or an ex and you want to get rid of him/her without telling them to bog off. So, you run this application to create static and then cut the call.

I'd love that!

Sounds like a great idea. Maybe one should also ask for the option to randomly turn the mic off for short periods to make it sound like the signal is breaking up before disconnecting.

Well, that should not be too hard.
You dont even need an app to do it (Maybe you do).
Find a wav file that can produce similar sounds to the static interference Play it while talking (Never tried that? Is that doable) and then press the disconnect button.
😃

Do you remember the old mobile phones, that at least in Finland were called NMTs? Pre-GSM ones. Bad connections really sounded bad: static noise, fading sound etc. But when GSM phones appeared, everyone was confused because you could never be sure if the person you're talking to is really hearing you. If the connection breaks, you cannot hear it. The lines just go dead. It's either-or kind of connection. Something to do with binaries?

So all that really is needed is a mute button. There might even be one, I don't know. 😮
I guess depending on the phone server, putting someone on hold may mean 'nice and soothing' music starts to play. If it doesn't, then that trick might also do it.

Why don't you just SLAM the handset at your desk HARD! That way it'll sure to be disconnected 😃
