Phone. When I paired it with another 7650 or Palm, it asks for a password...default is 12345, so how do we change it?

when u pair ur sposed to type in any password for both devices, there is no "default" password for pairing.

unless im missing something

When you first pair it with something it's not a password, you just type the same number in the phone (any) and the same number over there. Right? :-?

To my understanding, the bluetooth password have to be identical on paired blue tooth devices.

Example: I pair my N7650 with my Ipaq. It asks for the password... I type in any PIN for the N7650 and then I type in the same PIN on my Ipaq. I guess this is a security feature.

Yep... as long as the codes match, it's allllll goooooooooood! 😊

however if u dont want a stupid arsed password and want to change it

i find unplugging my USB bluetooth dongle and plugging it in again means i have to re-authenticate when i pair therefore need to put a password into both phone and pc again. I chose something a bit less predicatable than 12345
