a week or so ago i went mallora on hol and while out there my normal provider of orange used the "Amena" network. but when i got back, and my phone went back to being orange, it has a little call divert sign in the top right corner, wheer texts and key lock is shown. i cannot seem to get rid of this and although i can still make and recieve calls, i wuodl like it switched off.
the sign i am on about is a number 1 underlined with the line ending in a diagonal arrow.
hope you can help. thanks
I have had exactly the same problem with Orange. I go abroad about 4-5 times a month so this has proved to be a major PITA. You have to call Orange and ask them to send you a sim-update to clear the arrow divert symbol. I escalated the problem to their tech department who proved to be useless. I could have persevered with it, but lost patience and am moving to O2.
I believe it is related to using an old GSM sim in the phone. My sim is 4 years old. I asked Orange for a new sim-card but they wanted to charge me for it. I am curious. How old is the sim-card you are using? Is it GSM or UMTS?
Cheers.

Man that's tight 😮 ! O2 mailed me a new 3G sim when I bought my N80 (sim free) earlier this year - no charge and next day delivery..

Thats harsh! Technically the sim is for use for 12 months and by law, if they do not send you a replacement simcard when renewing your contract, you can request one at any time.
its GSM, i thought orange sed 2 me that the 3g sims were 1 pound each wen i asked. hmm. il try thnks
