Firmware 3.16 and network provider

Firmware 3.16 was originally revised
for use with Orange UK. Does it mean that you could experience some problemson other networks or should work no problemo with all other networks plus ORANGE?
Could you let me know if you are using V3.16 on provider other then ORANGE. I have serious difficulties with gprs

ideally, it should work fine without any problems. i dont run 3.16 but that is what i've heard here so far. 😃
