I have read that their is a problem with the battery indicator on the E61, and I seem to be having the same problem with mine. The battery will show full power all day, until I switch it off and back on, then it will go down to what I assume is the correct level.
After much Googling...sorry Google...Searching, I have come up with a few people saying that it is a common problem with the phone, and others saying that the phone should be sent back for a relpacement, as it shouldn't be doing it.
Which is correct? Is it really a problem that afflicts all E61s, and indeed...if some of the comments are to be believed...all S60 devices, or should I be sending it back?
Sorry if there is a thread that I have missed on this 😊
Cheers

I had never heard about that before and i sure do not have such a problem with my E61. The only battery related problem i have is the very poor autonomy (2 - 2 1/2 days with light use) compared to what all the reviews said about it. During the first day and a half, the battery indicator remains at the max then the dreaded top bar disapears and from there, it's only a few hours (10 max) before it goes flat, which seems to be the way the battery indicator works in all symbian devices.
This is an identified problem with some E61s; there are discussions either here or on the My-symbian.com forum (I can't remember where I saw it). Also, I cannot remember if I saw any fix posted for this issue.

Hmmm...maybe it's the same problem, but I need to leave my phone longer before resetting it.
