Anyone else having disconnection problems? Phone is on 02 and ran perfectly before updating the firmwear, never loosing the bluetooth connection. Now disconnects at random times, sometimes reconnecting after a few seconds, sometimes not. If I shut down Tomtom and then reload it connects again straight away.....
Any suggestions or is it just a matter of waitig for the next update to see if that resolves it?
what version of the firmware are you running if you updated on o2?
when i have problems with tom tom losing the gps, i just go into configure and let it find it again. tends to drop every 15 mins or so in my experience. btw the firmware im using is v3.05 and i have the same problems
Wait for it....it updated the firmware from v3.0546.2.3 to... v3.0546.2.3!!
It updated something, might of just been something to enable the online updates but it defo updated someting:con?
Anyhow, it now disconnects as you say, roughly every 15 minutes but it was great before the update, i.e. it never disconnected. Like you say, I might try to pair the devices again - take it outside and let the receiver run for 5 minutes before I pair it to the phone.
I was trying to think of anything else I have changed recently - I did put on some speed camera updates but i'm fairly sure they are not the problem.
Moral of the story:
If u can get tom tom working on an n70 - DONT CHANGE ANYTHING !
Drove for 4 hours the other day and not one drop out. No chance of me changing fimware.

Liam, see my post here http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/forum//forum/thread/50094/&page=3.
You mis-read the screen like me when you updated - it says you already have the latest firmware and asks if you want to overwrite it.
I'm on O2 and that's all we can get for now, v5.xxx isn't sanctioned by O2 yet.
I must admit my TT dropped the other day, but only while I was demoing a route, not when I was using it for real - and I don't remember it doing so before I overwrote my firmware..

I'm going to disagree with you on that point. With regards the 1st update I did, ir definenatly said there were updates available for download and installation. After having bluetooth problems following the installation of the updates I connected to the updater again at which point it told me that my firmware was up to date but that I could re-install them if I wished - which i did, to no avail...still had 3 disconnections over an 80 mile round trip yesterday. Not a biggie when you are traveling down the motorway, but a pain in the arse when driving around a bloody one way system in the middle of a city centre😡
As with you though, the updater didn't appear to update the firmware version so I assumed it had just installed something to enable online/pc updates?.....
Before the update, I never had any problems - I would read about the problems other people were having with TT and bluetooth on this forum and think "what have i done right?".......😉
Works like a dream for me, no lost connection, no crashing with poi's, resume after call or text... AWSOME!
Bout bloody time too 😊
i use my 7610 for tomtom, always reliable, if a little slow sometimes, and it is from 2004...
