Is there a Symbian 3rd Torch-light app ?

I've tried SpotOn, but it doesn't illuminate the N80 flash to anything like full intensity (I'm on the latest generic v 4.xx firmware). Are there any apps that crank the flash up to full power ?
My w800i has a native torch app - and the full flash power is quite incredible.
Come on SpotOn developers, give us a full flash-power version for the N80 .... puh-lease !

[ We could help others by telling the download address of SpotOn: http://my-symbian.com/s60v3/software/applications.php?fldAuto=98&faq=1 .]

It's true that SpotOn doesn't illuminate the N80 flash to anything like full intensity, if you by that mean the instant camera flash intensity. But SpotOn illuminates that same light to the normal video flash light, and that is pretty useful too. I've had very much use of it in very dark places!

I'm not certain if it even would be technically possible to keep a permanent version of that normally instant camera flash light, it seems part of its nature that it's so short, but sure, I'm no technician.

It's certainly possible. It's all under software control. And as I said, the SE w800i illuminates at full intensity rather than at a feeble glow.

I'm using OTStudio NTorch Lite v1.00 which seems to work quite well. I would post the app. but that seems to be against the rules but if you do a google seach you should find it easily enough😊 .

shouldnt be against the rules... maybe your count post was too low, unless of course its cracked software?

Bingo! Let me know if its better or worse than SpotOn as I have'nt tried that one yet. The nice thing about OTStudio NTorch Lite v1.00 is that you have the option to set it to SOS mode which is a nice little gimmick.

yeah, I think the moderation of the light maybe more a 'cover our a$$es' policy form nokia/outbank to protect it from the heat generation..

dunno tho... just a guess.
