Do You already have check the manual or the Tomtom site on FAQ section? Should work.

how do i get to install the files and get the software working on my Nokia 6630? they are in a folder on a CD and copying it directley onto an mmc card will not install TomTom

Good day mate, you need to copy them to the MMC card but do not create a new folder, copy the 10 or so folders and the .exe file onto the MMC card at the first level. On the CD they are probably saved in a foler called Tom Tom 5.2, well open this and then select all and then copy to MMC. Hope that makes sense

As Dai O says, once you have teh Tom Tom software on CD, you MUST copy all folders one by one onto the root directory of the MMC.

THe slight problem you may have, is that TT has a folder called 'System' You may already have a folder called 'System' on your MMC , containing several applciations, and when you try to copy over this, it will ask you if want to repalae the existing folder.

Now, the problem is if you replace, you mau lose several of your existing applications.

THe way around this is, it toinstall all the TT folders, then then to copy the TT System folder into the main TT FOlder.

You will then need to also install a .sis file in order to actually install TT on your phone. I have the .sis file if you need it.

Good Luck. I installed it this way onto my 6680 and TomTOm works perfectly. Also installed it onto my friends N70

Yup, let me have your email address, and I'll email it to you.

AS mentioned, install ALL TT folders onto your MMC, the root directory - APART from the TT System folder.

Once you have copied all ten folders or so, copy the TT System file to the TomTom folder. Lastly, copy the .sis file to your root directory.

Insert MMC into phone, fo to File manager, locate .sis file and proceed with installation.

NOTE: Apparently, if you have previously installed TT onto your MMC, you need to re-format the MMC to remove and traces of TT.

BTW - have you checked that you have transferred all the 'hidden' files on the TT disk?

Hi, Could any one help me to install TT Mobile SW 5.2 on Sony P910i.
After formatting the memory card from the mobile, I have copied all 10 directories from TT Software to memory card.
I can see the AgileMessenger.sis, CatDeeley.sis files in 'software available for installation'. When I try to install it's saying the installation file is corrupt.

These .sis files are from 'System/install' directory. Are these the files used for actual installation or is there any other .sis file. These are the only .sis files I can see in the whole software.

Your help is much appreciated.

What I found I needed was separate .sis file named TT Installation. Once I added this to my MMC, inserted card back into the phone,went into the file manager , found the installation sis file and ran it. It installed fine and works perfectly.

I did have it on my computer, but as its had its hard disk replaced - thats now history. You should be able to find it using Google, just search for TT Installation.sis

THis should work on UIQ phones as well as S60 phones.

BUT , on the software disk, you should also have a TTinstall.exe file, which should work on your phone. Make sure that when you copy all files across from the disk - the System folder does not have any 'hidden' files, so you can actually see all the files that are there.

Unfortunately, my computer needed a new hard drive fitting, so I've lost a lot of my files and data, so can't email it to you.

However, I originally did an search on the internet and found it that way, so its not hard to get hold of.

Let me know if you can't find it though, and I should be able to copy if from my MMC and send it to you that way.

I'm trying to get tomtom mobile working on my nokia 9300i. I have copied the files from the CD to the MMC card and got hold of the install.sis file. The installed gives a few warnings but seams to work ok.

When I click the tomtom icon to run the software I get the error:

'System:
Unable to find the specified object.'

Any ideas what i'm doing wrong?

I gt a CD which has tomtom 6 installed on it. I copied the files onto the memory stick (tgig) and put it into the p910i.

but nothing cums up.

sorry to trouble you matem, i have just copied all files for tomtom 5 from my friends 6630, i tried to install it but it doesnt work, i tried using the nokia application installer i have for tomtom 6 but it does not work, could you please email me the sis file or the file to install the tomtom

AFAIK - TomTom 6 will not work on the 6630 / 6680 / 6600 as these are Symbian ver2 phones, and TT6 is specifically designed for Symbian ver3 phones eg N73.

Therefore if you are using a ver2 Symbian phone, you will need TomTom5 - along with the sis file(s).

The thing is with TomTom, if you have tried installing it onto your MMC without success, you will then need to re-format the entire MMC again, before attempting a second install of TomTom. Once you do this, you will need to copy ALL the folders to the root directory of the MMC - do not simply create a folder called TomTOm and dump everything into that, it won't work. Once you have copied all eleven or so folders onto the MMC, install the .sis file -> re-insert MMC into fone -> go to File Manager for MMC -> locate sis file and run it and TT will install.

Hope that helps - if you need the sis file, PM your email address, its about a 2mb file so make sure your email filter will allow it through.

I have a nokia n70 with a (copy of tomtom 5.2) on the 512 mmc.the tomtom runs great with gps but card is a littlt small for mp3 tracks,Anyway i bought a 2gig kingston and put the tomtom files on it individualy,
it will not run or phone doesnt see the tomtom software on card which is on it.It shows on card when put in card reader on pc.
I think i need SIS file?to enable it to run.
Can anyone point me in right direction to get this sis??
