Is this better than the BlackBerry software? What is the difference??
Intellisync Wireless Email??
Does anyone know anything about this?
We use Intellisync and BBconnect with our E61/62s.
The current version of Intellisync uses the standard "inbox" to receive email and uses a POP outbox to send mail during syncronization. This is all set up during the install. The Symbian client is not a advanced as the WM5 and Treo clients, but it also doesn't reboot the device all the time. The Intellisync client syncs email, contacts, tasks and notes. It also syncs attachments and allows you to open attachments. If you use the SMS push function, then you get emails in real time. Downside of SMS push is that when you turn off the phone and then turn it on - you get a bunch of syncrologic SMS's into your inbox until Intellisync is fully running and can intercept these messages. Intellisync will have a new code release end of this year that separates email out of the main inbox.
BBconnect works well on our E61s. It sync's e-mail and calendars OTA, you have to sync contacts tethered. It pushs out attachments like Intellisync. The really nice thing about BBconnect is that it creates it's own e-mail database so all your BB email is not comingled in your normal "Inbox". BBconnect is fast and always works. It's easy to set up, as is Intellisync.
Biggest differences: BBconnect does not sync contacts OTA. Intellisync syncs everything OTA but does not have a separate inbox.
Both work fine.
