Bolded bit is especially for devices like the N80, N93 😃

I think this could well be the first series piece of software for us. If it is compatible with Symbian...

Oh and here is a link to movie trailers for N80: trailer.nerodigital.com

Press Release:

Nero Mobile Makes Entertainment Portable
Nero’s first mobile multimedia product enables digital media files to be enjoyed everywhere

IFA, Berlin, Germany (September 2, 2006) - Nero, leaders in digital media technology, announced today the release of their latest product, Nero Mobile, a content-centric media solution, which transforms mobile phones, PMPs, and PDAs into true feature-rich mobile media centers.

Now users are able to carry their digital photo, video, and audio content with them wherever they go using Nero Digital™ technology, a codec that compresses digital files while maintaining outstanding audio and visual quality. Nero Digital™ also resizes content to automatically fit chosen digital profiles including iPod®, MDAs, XDAs, and PSP®.

Nero Mobile and Nero Digital™ Audio+ technology turn users’ mobile phones into powerful hi-fi devices by compressing entire CD albums, including album art, into a single file that is, on average, as small as three typical MP3 files, while preserving the highest audio quality previously unimaginable with technologies such as MP3. Nero Digital™ Audio+ technology retains highest fidelity sound quality even at its 44:1 compression ratio.

The photo feature makes large, bulky photo albums a thing of the past. Now users can share digital memories with friends and family on a PDA or smartphone with background music and slideshow capabilities.

The collections feature of Nero Mobile enables the user to create and organize custom photo, video, and audio playlists with additional customizable options like shuffling, random playback, and easy content searching.

Nero Mobile also offers UPnP™ networking capabilities for direct access to media centers such as Nero MediaHome. During UPnP™ streaming, Nero MediaHome automatically adjusts home content to fit the profile of the Nero Mobile-supported portable device.

“Nero Mobile brings new life to mobile phones,” said Ivan Dimkovic, Product Manager Audio and Mobile Solutions, Nero AG. “With outstanding audiovisual quality and easy connectivity to the home multimedia world, Nero Mobile enables seamless content mobility and eliminates the inconvenience of carrying multiple costly gadgets in your pockets.”

During IFA 2006, Nero Mobile will be demonstrated at Nero’s booth in Hall 2.1, Booth 134.

Portable Format works a treat but if only the resolution could be a bit higher.
Smooth frame rate no laggin in fast moving/action scenes amazing quality and all with the built in Real Player

Nero MediaHome doesn't seem to work on my N80. When I try to browse the shared files the gallery just closes

It works for me but it is no different from windows media connect(or the new WMP beta) meaning its useless and takes extra resources. Right now Simple Center is the best software for us.

352*288 I found to be a bit jumpy so I used the manual option to select 320 which works a treat. To get the same quality the files seem to have to be bigger than 3gp which is odd. A 45 minute tv episode that starts out at 350Mb reduces down to a decent quality 90Mb 3gp file but needs to be about 150Mb in mp4 via nero to look as good. The option to reduce the source to a specified size is rather handy.

Whats new on this announce? Anybody knows? Nero digital is part of nero 7 Suite for quiet long, and for me is not the best encoder out there.

Can Simple Center stream live TV? I belive nero can, but for whatever reason my phone's gallery just exits when I try to pull a list of files off the nero home media server.

Orb can stream live tv. Its free too. www.orb.com

Yeah orb works for streaming live TV, but I can never get the picture to stream at full resolution. I always end up with black bars on the screen (even in fullscreen mode), so I was hoping that nero could maybe supply full resolution.
