My N80 takes 30 secs to switch on

Hi

Got a new N80 on Thursday. When I switch it on it takes 30 seconds before I am prompted for my PIN. Is this normal:con? I've never had a phone that's takes so long in switching on🙄

Yes, its normal. Its a PC, a small one, but a PC.

In my case, 38 s before it prompts for password. Then yet another 20-30 s before it's obviously ready to do whatever you want it to do next. This part is slower than my computer and quite annoying if you're working with a program that isn't stable on the phone and you are running the risks of system failure somehow.

Even more annoying I think is the time it takes for the camera/video camera to get ready after a picture/film. Then, you sometimes really want to do the next thing (take pic och film) fast.

Is like that! If you want somethink fast, leave a "samll PC" and go for a regular phone, like the S40 devices, 6131 or 6233... they are more fast!

I get around this problem by just not switching my phone off. There's always silent profile if you don't want it to ring, so there doesn't ever seem a reason to switch it off.

Only by software problems I turn off my phone, if not, is on always... and with change of profiles😉

There is that. But so far with this v4 firmware I don't think I've had a reason to reboot my phone. Perhaps I'm just lucky!

Make sure your phone memory is clean. Clear all the garbage out! Helps alot IMO. My test is that all the basic phone features like contacts and messages have to show up instantly. As in no delay. I always keep my phone memory clean and plenty empty.
