Hi, I don't know if this bar exists on all N80 but it started showing up here a while back and I can't figure out how to get rid of it (If it's possible).

It doesn't appear at startup but if I go into offline mode and then back it appears or if the phone changes operator for any other reason.

As you can see at the images, the bar is right under where the other box with the keylock-icon shows up or under the calendaritems depending on desktop-mode. (Don't know the name of it in english)

So I would be happy if anyone could tell me if this is what it always looks like or if it's removable or not.

Is a network operator bar. Or have an option to turn off, or you must live with that, because thet phone is lock to the operator.

Try these, for starters:

menu > Tools > Settings > Network > Cell info display > Off

in "Messaging": Options > Settings > Cell broadcast > Reception > Off

I dont thing that is a Cell info... wrong place!
Should be on right and top, not left and midle.
