A2DP and the N80

I've read a few posts that say that the N80 isn't capable of supporting A2DP cause it's only got the 1.2 hardware. I know for a fact that A2DP will work using the 1.2 hardware cause that what i'm running on my Dell Axim 51v. The problem the N80 has is that it's bluetooth software stack doesn't support A2DP. The Axim had a similar problem when it was released cause it only came with the crappy Microsoft stack and not the supperior Broadcom stack shipped with earlier versions of the Axim. Someone in the Axim community managed to hack the Broadcom bluetooth stack and now the most common download for the new Axim's is this nice A2DP enabled stack running on bluetooth 1.2.

This doesn't help anyone here too much except to point out that the N80 could support A2DP if Nokia included it in future firmware updates. Only thing i could suggest is that everyone who wants A2DP on their N80 should email Nokia and request it as a priority.

N80 supporting Bluetooth headsets doesn't mean it supports AD2P ?

What a shame !

I was building some dreams, bluetoothing my Twingo and getting a unit which allows to switch from DAP to phone when receiving a call (motorola has a great one)...

Too bad 😞

MSI BLUETOOTH STEREO MUSIC HEADSET
comes with A2DP software that you can install. However it only works with their headset.
