during my crazy 18th birthday last week i accidentally spilled beer all over the front of my n70. Now all i have is a white screen. The phone appears fine otherwise, i can receive calls and talk to my mates and i know i can get texts, but can only read then on my PC suite through the nokia cable xD. Now i'm woundering... surley this is just the screen that is broken? do any of you think i can fix the phone just by buying a new screen and replacing mine? i mean its easy enough to do. What you think?

Replacing the screen is not necessarily easy, if you don't know what you're doing.
Furthermore, if the beer has - and it likely has by now - gotten to the actual circuit board, then it is already causing other effects (corroding the electronics), and soon there's nothing short of replacing all the electronics to fix it.
I would use PC Suite to save what can be saved and get a new phone. What you do is up to you.
Yea.... but i do know what i am doing lol. And the phones been fine for 5 days, well, all bar the screen. My Friend has an n70, i'll try swapping the screens over today and see what happens

I don't know from where you got the ideea of "out to get everyones money", because this forum is intended to help people for free. Sometimes there are things that you just can't do by yourself if you know only a few things. Personally I won't take any chance to destroy my phone by giving the screen to a friend for telling me after that I made that on my own risk.

However, if the beer is still doing its thing inside the device, at some point it is very likely that some other component will fail, too. Hopefully it doesn't happen, but it is more likely the other way around.
Anyway, I also wouldn't let any friend of mine take my phone apart to try the display on his/her phone. If my friends wanted to experiment with such things, they'd better get their trial/test displays from somebody else. 😉
You better buy a 5500 sport next time, if you saw the movies of the guys that dropped it in to a bucket of beer, milk, etc 😊
