ICQ and IM+ on E61?

Hi. My company uses ICQ to communicate in-house. I have been using Agile Messenger in its beta release and it worked well. They have just released the alpha release, and while I'm not averse to paying for software (in spite of the fact that messaging is free on PC) their tag of $30 PER YEAR is a bit wild. I though $30 for IM+ once off is a bit much, so $30 per year is just off the radar. At that rate I might as well just send smses! Does anyone know about an alternative?

Thanks!

Hi, I've got the same concrn as u. I am seriously considering IM+ but dont have much experience with it especially with power consumption n keeping reconnection up always.
Agile keeps Yahoo reconected fast n rarely have problems unlike with MSN. Agile is quiet effecient with power consumption. I've roughly tried IM+ but it was too short a time to discover any problems with it. After it expired i couldnt get it run again just to try it out again.

Been trying Mig33. This does Yahoo n MSN. But it does not auto reconnect. And since its Java download somehow maybe of this that my power drains very fast.

So I am like u still looking.

Can anyone comment on IM+ effeciency on power n reconnetion especially for Yahoo n MSN?:con?

For MSN (not ICQ), there also HIER. In beta version at the moment but it seems to work OK on my E61. You can download it here: http://hier.ppsay.cn/download.htm

The web site is in chinese but the software is in english. Of course, since i don't read chinese, i don't know whether it's going to remain free once it'll be released.

As usual, do not use your actual email address when signing in using these third party client as you don't know where your email address and password are being sent.
