After I found IMAP to be useless on this handset, I decided to POP my mail every 30 mins.
The problem is, when I get a mail notification, if I try to access my mailbox immediately (using the email key, or clicking on it in the standby screen), more often than not, it will attempt to open, and even show the title at the top of the screen, but it will quit directly back to the standby screen. The only way to get it to open, is to manually close the active data connection. I can then access it as normal, though I then have to reconnect to read the mail.
When I am unable to open the mailbox, I am also unable to switch to Agile Messenger, which is already running. I thought it may be a problem with that, but I'm sure this behaviour started before I started using it...maybe I'll have to do some tests.
I also sometimes find when connecting manually to a mailbox, it gets stuck on the updating screen, and I have to cancel it and try again.
