Spotting the new range of yes-you-read-that-right flight simulators from Warelex, I decided to take them for a spin around the sky. Summary? Fun and Frustrating, both at the same time, though the second 'F' should be lessened when the developers get a large-screened 3rd Edition version out the door.

Flight simulators appeared on computers even before they had graphical displays. 😉
And mobile phones with today's displays are not very far off and in many ways vastly exceeding the C64 and IBM PC CGA displays (especially if you take into account also the additional CPU performance, memory and storage capabilities). Only thing is, of course, that the mobile's display is physically so small.
It is a bit surprising, though, if it really took this long for the first smartphone flight sims to appear.
Why don't they have a horizontal mode, where you hold the phone sideways? One S60 game dev did it with an arkanoid clone and it worked very well, what's stopping others doing the same thing?
i totally agree with you krisse. it cant be so difficult to impliment, and it makes it more useable.
yes, but.... oh, how I hate generic Java apps..... especially under S60 3rd Edition, where they take over your RAM....
