Since i had never encounter the sms sending speed problem, could anyone describe the problem detail to me? Then I would be able to understand the improvement from the patch.

Yes, but as kharnak says, what was the problem with slow sending of SMS?

I have never seen any issues either. What was the difficulty people were experiencing?

Ok, as a person who has faced this issue, I will tell you. After u come up to 1,500 txts in the inbox, after u compose a message to be sent out, it takes time to be sent out. Sending is displayed on the screen for quite a while before it goes to the outbox. After u clear up the inbox, still it goes slow like how it was when 1,500 txts were there.

After I installed this patch, its quick and faster, even with plenty of txts in the inbox.

1) Does this problem only happens if you've lots of SMS in inbox?
2) Will this happen if you have lots of text in other folder (moved/archived from inbox to others).
3) How slow was that?

Answers:
1) Till now yeah! I haven't started using E-mail yet.
2) My Folders, I'm not sure! I do have few txts in My Folders. If I come to know about it, I'll let you know.
3) Well, to send a single txt, it used to take about 3-5 min. It was irritating like when you need to send a txt that has to reach the other person asap.

Phew! I'm so glad its been resolved!

Note:
Reboot the phone afterwards just to make sure the patch is operative.

Does anyone know wheter this new sms update is included in the new firmware 2.xxx...? Do we still need to update with sms accelerator if the firmware is already updated?

Now I have 1,500 txts in the inbox and its still fast. Compared to before! :icon14: to Nokia for releasing this patch. And also for finding out this problem!
