Does anyone have it working on there N80 i went to download it and it said it will not work on the N80 but it works on the N70 does anyone have this on there phone?

Its ok i got it working through the jar sky software and not the sis format i cant see any videos though because the n80's java doesnt surrport video am i right?
Anyone got teh WAP URL to download it? I have done everything on the box etc its just Sky have Fscked up my online details so I can't get the link to download it.

1. Register
Go interactive to Sky Customer Services. Press Green for A-Z, then 7 or P-S. Select Remote Record and it will give you the option to register.
It will require a phone connection as well as your sky.com username and password. Finally, you will be asked for your mobile number.
2. Connect your N80 to Nokia PC Suite (either by cable or Bluetooth).
3. Download & save the .jar file, above, to your PC by clicking on it. Note that the symbian60 app wont work on the N80 as it's a S60 V3 phone (Also mentioned earlier on in this thread).
4. Once downloaded, click on "open" and Nokia PC Suite will ask if you want to install the app to the phone, click yes.
5. Finish the installation on the phone.
6. Open the app, input your sky.com username and password & click "Login".
7. Your phone will the ask you to allow the app to use your network to send or receive data, click yes.
8. You're good to go. If you've got your N80 set up to ask which access point to select, you can either use the Vodafone WAP APN, internet APN, or even Wi-Fi. All work flawlessly.
The only thing worth mentioning is that when you've finished using the app, you will have to use the connection manager to manually end the active data connection as the app doesn't seem to end it on it's own.

When I try and enter my login details, I can enter either username or password but as soon as I try and enter the other one the app bombs me out to standby screen. Anyone else had any probs?
Yer it happend 2 me i think i pressed da right button a few times to get writein.
You have to uninstall it and then reinstall it. It will work the second time round. I had the same problem and was told to do this and then it worked fine.
Well, after a long while having to use a Sony (pah) Java application to utilise Sky's Remote Record features, they have at last seen fit to release a native Symbian 3rd Edition version.
Type the following URL into your phone's web browser and download the app, which will automatically install.
http://mobile.sky.com/skyapp/skyapp.asp
The page will auto detect your phone and install the correct version.
My personal opinion of this application is that it is a vast improvement over the Java version and better than the old S60 2nd Edition that I used to use on my 6680.
It took a while to get there, but here it is 😊

Just tried that link from my N80 and it says that my phone is not compatible !!
I have installed the Sony jar mentioned earlier wouthout a problem, but a specific N80 would be beter.
Anyone any ideas ??
nah, from memory I had to install the Sony .jar too on my N80 and it was a bit rubbish but worked. (kinda) SO you might be stuck with that...?
