E61-mini SD problem

my E61 seems dosn't support the Kingston 1G mini SD well. After I bought the E61, I copied a lot of video, pictures and mp3 to the mini SD card and at first it works well. then the problems started to come and the videos, pictures bacome not accessable. then I realise it is the mini SD problem so I formated it and re-copied everything. after a few days, the problems came back. Has anyone here got the same problem? I wonder if the new firmware can solve this problem? thanks

I have a different type of card (samsung high speed 2gig chip) but sometimes I get an error where the phone ignores apps installed onto the card, most often at power-on. I solve the prob by hitting the power button, going to the "remove memory card" option, hitting yes and OK, and then the phone reads the apps on the card. See if that is a quick fix for your prob.

This is a bug that appears when you set a password for the memory card (note that if you've activated the remote lock feature on your phone, a password for the memory card has been automatically set). To fix the problem, go to the Memory card application and remove the password.

Thanks again elp! I'm not sure whether I want to live with the bug or the lack of remote lock. Thanks for the choice, Nokia. Do you know if Firmware V2 fixes this?

Its a firmware bug, because I can confirm now, that N73 also have that bug, without password on card. Sometimes, the phone ignore it have a card😡

I was wrong, as you don't have to choose between the remote lock and the card error. As elp said, disabling the memory card password can be done and it "fixes" the issue... remote lock security can still be enabled. (You do have to choose between the card access error and memory card locking though...!)

I too am having the exact same problem. I have the Kingston 1GB mini SD card and it not only slows down the phone but it's access is intermittant. Sometimes I can access and sometimes I cannot. Also having difficulty transfering files through PC Sync. Wasn't this way before the firmware update.
